This course will be of benefit to all those wishing to gain the skills to advise and assist clients on the new pension automatic enrolment obligations effective from October 2020.

Overview

This course will take you through the auto enrolment process and provide you with a working knowledge of the new National Employment Savings Trust. It will also take you through key dates and strategies to ensure that your clients are ready to auto enroll their employees into a suitable pension scheme by their scheduled staging date.

By the end of this course you will be able to:

• Identify the different types of pension schemes and arrangements in the UK, contrasting money purchase and final salary arrangements
• Understand and advise on the automatic enrolment process and its obligation upon employers from 2020
• Recognise the key aspects of the new National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) and how it compares to other schemes
• Advise your client on the best pension scheme that would meet the requirements of its workforce and its auto enrolment obligations.
• Review any existing pension scheme of the client and advise on key amendments to ensure the scheme meets the clients’ legal obligations, including leveling down benefits to the statutory minimum.
