Overview
Previously the 'A to Z of Probate', this very popular practical workshop course traces the administration of a deceased’s estate from first instruction to file closure. This course uses practical examples and case studies to take you through the process from start to finish.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Follow a transaction from first instruction to completion.
- Understand IHT calculations and IHT exemptions and relief that apply during life time and death.
- Understand the purpose of statutory advertisements
- Describe the Inheritance Provision for Family and Dependants Act 2020
- Recognise the steps you will need to take to protect yourself and your firm against claims in negligence.
- Advise beneficiaries and executors with confidence.
