Operation Plasis - Prepare To Respond

This is a unique once in a career opportunity for those involved in Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosives (CBRN-e) response to take part and experience operating in a real live CBRN-e environment. Four days of intensive training at a world class facility will be followed by a three day 24 hour radiological exercise involving the detonation of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) recreating a real radiological terrorist attack. This provides participants with the opportunity to experience working in an actual radioactive environment.

The course will be held in the United States at a secure location in October 2008. Experts will be brought together from around the world to provide the necessary training, including a full contingent of highly trained State health and safety personnel to advise and assist participants in all areas of personal safety.
