Overview

BPP Professional Education will be running a CPI to JIEB conversion course for Personal Insolvency. We will help you to take what you have learned from your CPI Personal Insolvency courses and adapt this to the JIEB Personal Insolvency paper, highlighting the key differences between the exam in both content and in the style of the examinations and the technique required to succeed.The JIEB are renowned for being a very difficult and practical set of examinations. Although the subject matter of the CPI and JIEB are similar, the JIEB goes into far greater detail, and adopts a very practical approach. The examinations are very different, and without understanding and appreciating this, it is very unlikely that candidates will successfully make the transition between the papers.

Learning outcomes include obtaining a greater understanding of:

• the areas of the JIEB syllabus which are not covered by the CPI
• the format of the JIEB Personal Insolvency exam
• valuable tips on how to approach the exam, and planning your preparations to attempt it
• an understanding of what the JIEB markers are looking for from a successful candidate
• areas of the JIEB syllabus not covered in the CPI, such as deceased bankrupts and partnerships
