JIEB - Registration & Enrolment

Insolvency

The 2010 JIEB will take place on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd November

It is your responsibility to register with your respective Professional Body for the JIEB and to pay your exam fee. This is not included in the BPP course fees.

Eligibility

You are eligible to sit the JIEB examinations if you have either:

  • Satisfied the requirements of your Recognised Professional Body (ACCA, ICAEW, Law Society, etc...)
  • Satisfied the requirements of Secretary of State for Trade and Industry
  • Satisfied the requirements of the Insolvency Practitioners Association


If you have any doubts about your eligibilty it is recommended that you contact your RPB directly, as only they can authorise you to sit the exams. Telephone the IPA for details of your eligibility on 020 7623 5108. The Insolvency Service at the DTI can be contacted on 0121 698 4000. The closing date for exam entries will be in September 2010. Please confirm this date with your Recognised Professional Body. Candidates should submit their application form for the examinations through their professional body, the IPA or the DTI as appropriate. Confirmation and examination details will follow from the JIEB examinations office. The Exam is held at a number of centres throughout the UK. Your Examination results will be available around the end of February 2011. You will be given an overall result of pass, referred or fail and in relation to individual papers, whether you have passed or have a marginal fail, fail or bad fail. The pass mark for each paper is determined by the JIEB, but is no higher than 50%.
